The Carroll County Health Department creates and maintains a variety of plans to ensure our services are meeting community needs and reducing gaps and barriers to our vision of a safe and healthy community for all. Our planning processes involve staff at all levels of the agency, representative of all four bureaus. We review local, state, and national data, work with community partners, ask for feedback from customers, and study best practices to create plans that help us address public health priorities in Carroll County.
The Health Department’s Health Planning efforts include agency-wide strategic planning, quality improvement, and performance management. We use health data from a wide variety of sources, and use it to identify health trends and plan initiatives. We create a local public health plan for Carroll County using community needs assessment data and State Health Improvement measurements specific to Carroll County.
