Disability Advisory Committee

​​​​​​​​​The Disability Advisory Committee was formed in January 2017 and consists of members dedicated to improving the health of people with disabilities. The Disability Advisory Committee promotes health improvement by:​

  • Gathering and disseminating data on issues relevant to the statewide health needs of people with disabilities.

  • Keeping members aware of important events and concerns in the disability community.

  • Collaborating to make the best use of people and resources.

  • ​Including people with disabilities in public health efforts.

  • Improving access to health care.

  • Providing technical assistance to chronic disease management programs to support access for people with disabilities.

  • Planning for long-term change by establishing a method for ongoing outreach.​
