Licensing Guidance - COMAR 10.21.07 - Therapeutic Group Homes (TGH)

Licenses issued under COMAR 10.21.07 are for Therapeutic Group Homes only.

Therapeutic Group Homes are also primarily subject to:

COMAR 14.31.05
COMAR 14.31.06
COMAR 14.31.07

A TGH program authorized under COMAR 10.21.07, 14.31.05, 14.31.06, and 14.31.07 is not subject to COMAR 10.63 regulatory requirements.

All licenses or approval letters issued by the Administration must carry the signature of the Maryland Department of Health Secretary or their formal designee. Currently, the Deputy Secretary for Behavioral Health is designated to approve licenses.

All licenses issued by BHA are site-specific, and service-specific, and are not transferable (COMAR 10.21.07).
