Prevention and Control of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene receives a cooperative agreement from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection
Program. The purpose of this program
is to increase
breast and cervical

services, to monitor
the cancer problem
and to carry out evaluation of these programs.
The federal legislation requires the state to provide matching
