Maryland Asthma Plan

Addressing asthma requires a comprehensive plan that integrates actions efficiently and effectively. The Maryland Asthma Control Program developed a Maryland Asthma Plan (Plan) in 2004 to provide a common vision for individuals, organizations, and communities to address the burden of asthma in Maryland.  This Plan was developed by the Maryland Asthma Task Force, consisting of representatives from health care professions, asthma advocacy organizations, asthma coalitions, family members and persons with asthma.  In2007, the MACP began a process to update the Plan in response to new surveillance findings, program successes, and guidance from the Maryland Asthma Coalition (formerly the Maryland Asthma Task Force). The result is the Maryland Asthma Control Plan: An Action Agenda to Reduce the Burden of Asthma in Maryland, 2010-2015(Action Agenda).  The Action Agenda will serve as Maryland’s Asthma Control Plan through 2015.
Please feel free to download Maryland Asthma Control Plan: An Action Agenda to Reduce the Burden of Asthma in Maryland, 2010-2015 and share it with your networks.  The Action Agenda is meant to be used as a road map for asthma program implementation activities and strategies.  For more information regarding the Action Agenda, please contact Rachel Hess-Mutinda at Rachel.Hess-Mutinda@Maryland.gov
