Leena Dev, MD, FAAP

Dr. Dev is a graduate of North Carolina State University (Biochemistry and Sociology) and University of North Carolina School of Medicine – Chapel Hill. She completed her Pediatric residency at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is Board certified in General Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics.
Dr. Dev has worked for child protection programs in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. She served as the Medical Director of the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital Child Protection Team, then joined the Child Protection Program at St. Christopher’s Hospital in Pennsylvania and the CARES (Child Abuse Research and Educational Services) Institute in New Jersey until she moved to Maryland. Dr. Dev is a member of the Sinai Hospital Medical Faculty in Baltimore, Maryland and practices pediatrics in the Baltimore Metro Area.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Member of the AAP Section on Child Abuse and Neglect. Dr. Dev enjoys teaching students, residents and child protection professionals on the medical aspects of child abuse.
Scott Krugman

Dr. Krugman graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. After residency, he joined the pediatric faculty at Franklin Square Hospital Center and became chairman of the department in 2002.
Dr. Krugman completed a master’s degree in epidemiology in 2005. He is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
He founded Franklin Square’s Child Protection Team in 2000 with the aid of a VOCA grant which evaluates over 250 children at the hospital each year.
In 2002, a Maryland Children’s Trust Fund grant helped start the 'Prevention is the best medicine' program to work on child abuse prevention efforts in eastern Baltimore County.
Dr. Krugman is also a member of the Child Abuse Medical Professionals (CHAMP) faculty, the Baltimore County Child Fatality Review Team, the Baltimore County Child Protection Review Panel, the State Council on Child Abuse and Neglect, the board of The Family Tree, and is past-chair of the Child Maltreatment Committee of the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
