Grants Awards Process

Applications for grants are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.  Grant amounts vary, dependent upon the availability of funds and the number of approved applications.
A committee reviews submitted proposals that meet eligibility criteria and determines which applications are approved.  Proposals for federal funding will be submitted to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for its approval. The use of state funds from the HCQA can be determined directly by the committee.  Each applicant organization will be notified of the committee’s decision.

This committee currently includes:

• Executive Director, OHCQ
• Deputy Director, Federal Programs, OHCQ
• Deputy Director, State Programs, OHCQ
• Chief Fiscal Officer, OHCQ
• Chief Nurse, OHCQ
• Assistant Inspector General, DHMH OIG
