Enhancing Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for COVID-19 Through Community Based Strategies

A. The Maryland Department of Health (MDH or the Department), Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities (MHHD) is issuing this Request for Applications (RFA) as part of Maryland’s strategy for enhancing Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for COVID-19. Grantees funded through this RFA will provide community-based services including outreach and education, quarantine and isolation, and other COVID- related support.
B. The State intends to obtain services, as specified in this RFA, from an Agreement between the selected Applicant(s) and the State. The anticipated duration of services to be provided under this Agreement is one (1) year and one (1) option year.
C. The Department intends to make up to 20 awards as a result of this RFA. The initial grant period will be from January 2023 - December 31, 2023.
D. Applicants, either directly or through their subcontractor(s), must provide all services and meet the requirements requested in this solicitation. The successful Applicant shall remain responsible for performance regardless of subcontractor participation in the work. Click the following link to download the RFA:
