Need information on tobacco prevention (cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and chewing tobacco), second hand smoke, dangers and cost of smoking, and/or quitting?

We have many brochures and resources available. If you have a faith based, school based, or community based activity such as a health fair, school dance or event, church dinner, or community gathering like Summer Fest our staff may be available to set up an informational table and/or do a presentation.

Our staff creates community health presentations which are culturally sensitive, as well as age appropriate. Tobacco prevention activities and presentations are offered to Pre-K aged students through senior citizens. Presentations are planned on a first come, first serve basis with an emphasis in educating as many people in the community as possible. Please contact Heather Reed, RN, BSN at 410-479-8080 or by email at to learn more or schedule a presentation.

Local minority churches and organizations in Caroline County are encourage to apply for mini-grant funding to promote prevention and cessation of tobacco and nicotine products through their organizations. Funding is still available for the FY17 year, planned events must be scheduled to be completed by May 2017. Please contact Leigh Marquess, RN at 410-479-8082 to learn more or request an application.
