Family Planning
The goal of family planning services is to promote responsible behavior, reduce unintended pregnancies and facilitate the health of newborns.
For information about birth control and obtaining contraceptives from the Health Department, please call 410-479-8000 and ask for "Family Planning".
Pregnancy tests are available Monday through Friday on a walk-in basis 8:00am until 11:30am and 1:00pm until 4:00pm.
Confidential Family Planning services include:
Individualized contraception
Emergency contraception
GYN examinations
Breast and cervical cancer screening
STD testing and treatment
Anemia and hypertension screening
Pregnancy testing
Dispensing of contraception
Referrals for sterilization
Educational counseling
HIV testing and counseling
Preconception counseling, including the Folic Acid recommendation
